Caroline Kilgour

As an innovative and strategic thinker, Caroline thrives within the ever-changing communications landscape. With over 15 years in the industry, she has worked in multi-national network agencies including BBDO, MacLaren MRM and Arnold Worldwide. In 2010, as Director of Client Services, Caroline successfully led the opening and subsequent growth of the award-winning Canadian-based Omnicom agency Red Urban (DDB).

Over the course of her career, she has provided strategic leadership on some of the largest accounts in Canada, including Volkswagen, Mars Wrigley and the Royal Bank of Canada on both a national and global level. She has also had the privilege to partner with OLG, Intel, Nestle, Hudson’s Bay, GoodLife Fitness, York University, UPS, Subaru, Porsche, Ontario Ministry of Health, Purina, Plan International Canada and Volvo. Caroline prides herself on approaching projects with an agnostic mindset and a strong integrated skill set. She has repeatedly and effectively aided clients in growing their marketing efforts beyond traditional tactics. With a keen enthusiasm for business, she immerses herself in her clients’ world and prides herself on approaching solutions from an empathetic grounding. Her ongoing love of building, whether it be brands, teams, or relationships, is at the heart of her drive today.

Caroline provides ongoing marketing-communication consultation for the Douglas Wright Foundation, an organization focused on fighting Melanoma Cancer in Canada. She has also long been active within the AGO, acting as a co-chair of AGO Next, and currently sits on an Advancement Sub-Committee focused on Corporate Sponsorship.

Christina Yu

Partner, Chief Creative Officer

Christina Yu is a Cannes Lion-winning creative and Film Director, recognized among Canada’s Top 100 thought leaders. Formerly Managing Partner and Creative Director at Rethink Canada, she helped lead the agency to back-to-back wins as Agency of the Year and Design Agency of the Year in 2019 and 2020. Prior to that, she co-founded Red Urban for the DDB Network, producing acclaimed work for Volkswagen and driving record-breaking sales. She later brought those talents to Subaru, contributing to their historic sales growth.

Christina’s distinctive design sensibility has shaped standout campaigns for brands like Stella Artois, FedEx, Pepsi, Audi, and Virgin. She made an early mark with Capital One’s breakthrough ‘Hand in my pocket’ campaign, achieving 93% recall and setting new benchmarks for effectiveness.

Honored with top awards from Cannes, One Show, Clios, and a Canadian Screen Award, Christina also mentors emerging talent as an industry speaker and visiting professor at OCAD. Despite her accomplishments, she’s happiest celebrating her twin sons’ latest victories in soccer, Roblox, and fishing on the Bay of Quinte.

Derek Blais

Chief Creative Officer

Derek has been solving problems using creativity from a young age. Having attended a high school bearing Marshall McLuhan’s name, Derek became immersed in media theory, technology, and all things Adobe. After starting his own company in high school and entering the ad world as a developer, Derek worked his way up, becoming the #1 Art Director in Canada along the way and regardless of having never attended university, gave a TEDx talk on creativity and collaboration at one. His human-centric approach to the work and creative leadership are lauded by both his colleagues and his clients, with his work and the work of his teams having been recognized at every major national and international award show.

His most recent project ‘Missing Matoaka’ was the most awarded Canadian campaign in Cannes in 2023 and the most awarded Canadian campaign ever at The One Show with 16 pencils and two Grand Prix – making Derek the #1 ECD at the 2023 One Show. He shares the same Forbes 30 Under 30 list as fellow Torontonian Drake and as a proud member of Oneida Nation of the Thames, he’s been calling this land home since time immemorial. Outside of advertising, Derek’s photography has been featured at Art Basel, his music videos have been recognized in Cannes and his most recent creative project, a seasonal restaurant on Georgian Bay landed him on the cover of Cottage Life magazine.

Lindsay Day

SVP, Business Director

Lindsay is both a client whisperer and a creative one, able to connect objectives across teams to build strong relationships around shared goals. A strategic-led and passionate marketer, Lindsay drives business growth by leading with empathy and championing disruptive thinking.

Having spent over 15 years in New York and Toronto, Lindsay has built global brands such as TJX and Merck. At john st. she led integrated, award winning campaigns for some of Canada’s largest and most beloved CPG and Retail brands including No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore and Boston Pizza. More recently, she managed a group of 5 global agencies to launch the first ever brand campaign for Prime Video, and masterband work for President’s Choice.

When she’s not seeking out new ways to approach business problems, she’s seeking pizza. Specifically, a Toronto slice that can stand up to those of New York.

Geoff Gingerich

SVP, Strategy

Geoff is a student of the human condition. With a formal background in Anthropology and over a decade navigating the bustling kitchens of Toronto, Geoff’s fascination with people, culture and creativity has been a lifetime pursuit. Even though he has moved on from the kitchen, he continues to approach his role with a strict attention to detail, obsession with the consumer experience and passionate conviction for exceptional work.

As a Strategist, Geoff merges his diverse experiences into a single, focused pursuit of truth. He believes that insights are not found, but they are created through a synthesis of research, observation and a well-informed “gut”. Furthermore, his strategic thinking doesn’t hide behind industry jargon or the marketing trends du jour but seeks to reveal the most effective and creatively potent path of travel for his clients and colleagues.

Before joining Lifelong Crush, Geoff has led the strategy for a broad portfolio of brands including McDonalds, Google, LCBO, Bud Light, Spotify, Sephora, Harley Davidson and Hershey Canada.

Terri Vegso

Head of Production

Terri is a seasoned creative production leader with over 20 years of experience turning ambitious creative ideas into award-winning campaigns. She has led cross-functional teams across broadcast, digital, print, and experiential, with a strong focus on operational excellence and creative impact. Her work includes high-profile campaigns for Volkswagen, Amazon Prime Video, Audi, and Warner Bros., and has been recognized globally—including a Bronze Cannes Lion for the long-form VW film Once More, The Story of VIN 903847 and a Silver Cannes Lion for her ‘Ladyballs’ campaign for Ovarian Cancer Canada. At GREY Canada, Terri doubled the size of the production department and was awarded the agency’s ‘Famously Effective Award’ for her leadership and innovation.

In her current role at Lifelong Crush she collaborates with her clients and teams to deliver complex, multi-platform campaigns with precision and heart. She brings a calm, solutions-focused approach to every project, and is passionate about mentoring producers, optimizing production processes, and building creative work that leaves lasting impressions.
